AMPLIBEAMS are manufactured using the AMPLIFORM process. This unique process makes use of an aluminium alloy extrusion that firstly has slots punched in preset positions using a purpose made machine and then stretched to a predetermined width.

There are 3 standard AMPLIBEAMS –

  • ALB 200 – 200mm deep x 50mm wide up to 8m long
  • ALB 365 – 365mm deep x 50mm wide up to 6m long
  • ALB 475 – 475mm deep x 75mm wide up to 6m long

Amplibeams are manufactured for Aluminium Alloy 6063 Condition T6.

AMPLIBEAM SPECIFICATION

Amplibeams are manufactured in 3 different sizes  ALB 475 ,  ALB 365 and  ALB 200.

It is common to join the beams using a 4 way H connector. This ensures a stiff, compact joint. The 4 way H Connector may be cut back to a 3 way or 2 way connector.

BENEFITS & USES

AMPLIBEAMS are very versatile structural elements. No other metal product has a better strength to weight ratio.

AMPLIBEAMS –

  • are light weight
  • corrosion resistant
  • easy to fabricate
  • can be anodised or powder coated.

AMPLIBEAMS can be joined by welding, bolting, riveting or any other method provided suitable design criteria are applied.

We offer a range of AMPLIBEAMS and bolted 4 and 2 way H connectors that are suitable for various applications.

AMPLIBEAMS have found their way into a wide variety of applications.
